be common for all countries.
Each time that a part of the content is completed,

we shall have recordings of the impressions for probable
corrections and redefinition of the specifications,
where necessary. This will lead to improvements of
the portal and e-learning environment content.
The content shall be adapted in the special needs
and in the particularities of the Sign Language.
The adaptation and design of the content shall be
under the supervision of a special scientific team
that is constituted by individuals with long experience
in the education field of the Sign Language in training
centres. The participation of expert teachers of
Sign Language in our work, guarantees the quality
of the produced content. The content shall be in
text form, followed by instructive pictures, and
more over in Sign Language should be accompanied
by digital video.
Using
special systems of video broadcast (video on demand,
real video), remote groups can draw "visual" information,
in the Sign Language, via digital video. Moreover
the content shall be in multimedia form with moving
graphics (Flash Animation), pictures, text and of
course, special high quality digital video, which
shall be available at any time from the end-user.
For the direct access in the digital video, various
techniques of digitalization and video transmission
via web shall be used, as Quick Time Movies, Real
Player Movies as well as specialized software packages
for Video on Demand transmission as IP-TV. In our
work, this ability is very important for providing
information to the special end user group, whose
communication is only "visual" via the Sign
Language.
The content shall be available on the WEB and in
CD/DVD-ROM where users shall be able to draw the
digital video from the CD/DVD-ROM. Thus the users
that do not have internet access or do not have fast
internet connection shall have access in the educational
content through the CD/DVD-ROM.
Initially the content shall be produced by the authoring
team which shall consist of a representative from
each participant - training center of the Sign Language
(KENG, RNID, DAF) in collaboration with the scientific
personnel of N.C.S.R "Demokritos". Afterwards,
in collaboration with N.C.S.R "Demokritos",
a special adjustment of the content shall take place
in order to be send to all the partners, which shall
implement and adjust the educational content in the
corresponding written form and Sign Language.
For
example the Finnish content shall be translated
in the Finnish written language which shall be accompanied
by the corresponding digital video of the Finnish
Sign Language, and so on for the English and Greek
educational content. The content shall be translated
in all languages, of the involved participants, creating
a multilingual and multidimensional application.
