The Greek State Educational Framework By September of 1999, a
new framework has been set, concerning the technical and professional education in Greece. This framework leads to the foundation of "Technical Greek Education" and of the "Technical and
Professional Education" (ÔPE).
Index Courses of TEE The course program in TEE includes general education lessons and professional and technical lessons as well.General education
lessons are covering the 38-42% of the total class time in the 1st year of the 1st cycle, and the 33-37% in the 2nd cycle. The specialization developement, is organized depending on the needs of each region. Special
emphasis, is given on the gain of professional abilities, in real-time conditions (apprenticeship). For this reason, it is going to take place a seek for joining contracts with enterprises of public or private section
in order to ensure the proper professional environement for the apprenticeship. The reorganization of the professional specialties is also planned, according to the evolutions in job market. In this way, new
professional teaching programs will be created and new programs and books will be drawn up. The complete catalogue of courses of TEE, is divided into
two ranges: range A and range B. Range A has two year lessons and range B one year lessons. There are, already in use, the following sectors:
1)Mechanological Sector2)Finance and Management Sector 3)Informatics Sector 4)Electronics Sector 5)Agricultural Production and Natural Resources Sector 6)Electrological Sector
7)Remaking and Agicultural Products Trade Sector 8)Marine and Shipping Sector 9)Applied Arts Sector 10)Health and Welfare Sector 11)Touristic Professions Sector 12)Manufacturing Sector
13)Chemical Laboratory Applications 14)Aesthetics and Hair-Dressing Sector The complete catalogue of courses of the Electrological Sector, at the 1st
year (semester) of range A, includes general education lessons and technological education lessons. The general education lessons, are: Mathematics, Physics, Greek, Foreign language, Athletics activities and Computer
applications. The technological education lessons are depending on the specialty the student is going to obtain. These lessons are listed below:

The structure of the second grade education in Greece, can be represented by the following diagram: Even with the new education programs, that are addressed only to students - because there is not a satisfactory link between school and job market - there are significant
deficiencies in new technologies and areas, such as Industrial applications, PLC, modern electrical installations of energy management in buildings (EIB system) and Applications of detection systems (sensors) in
industry.Besides, the education - instruction is made until today into the classroom and into the laboratory with the traditional education methods. This particular pilot plan attempts to join the industry with the
school, and to provide the ability to ameliorate the quality of professional instruction in the electrical sector. The cooperation between the parteners from the participant countries will promote and propagate the
experience of each participant, in the field of electrical professional abilities. |
