About the location:

The Paradise Royal Mare Hotel is located just 6 km away from the old, medieval town of Rhodes and 20 km away from Rhodes international airport.
 

Rhodes can be reached:

• By air from Athens, El. Venizelos airport, by Olympic airways, or cronus airline (flight time about 50 min).
• By air using charter of scheduled flights to Rhodes from many European cities.
• By air to Athens and then by boat to Rhodes from Piraeus (the duration of journey is about 18 hours).

• In  order  to  get  from  airport  to  Kallithea  (Paradise  Royal  Mare  Hotel), you
  will  have  to  use  coach.
• You  can  get  from  airport  to  the  City  of  Rhodes  the  bus. The bus  departs
  every  30  minutes  and  it  should  cost  around  2,5  euros.
  From  the  city  of  Rhodes  you  can  get  the  bus  RHODES  -  KOSKINOU.
  The  bus  departs  every  30  minutes  and  it  should  cost  around  1,55  euros.
• In  case  that  you  will  use  a  taxi  from  Rhodes  to  Hotel  is  costs  around  5
   euros.
• If  you  use  a  taxi  from  airport  to  the  Hotel  its  costs  around  15  euros.

VISA Requirement

In  some  cases  a  visa  is  required.
Before  coming  to  Greece,  you  should  consult  the local Greek Embassy or Consulate
to  ensure  you  have  the  right  documents.
Those  who  need  an  official  letter of  invitation in order to  attend the workshop may
write to the  secretariat.  This procedure is for assisting participants who need to obtain a
visa  or  permission to  attend  the  Workshop  and  is  not  an official invitation covering
fees  of  any  other  expenses.

The Weather

The  climate  in  Rhodes  is  typically  Mediterranean.
In reality there are only two seasons: spring and summer. A hot summer (April -October),
and a rainy winter (November - March).
On  average,  Rhodes  has 300 days of sunshine a year, while between April and October,
the  chances  of  uninterrupted  sunshine  are  nearly  one  hundred per cent. During that
period the temperature is in excess of 25 C.
The  usual  temperature  in  October  is  on  the  average  low 15⁰ C and high 27⁰ C.
