Welcome to the 4th International Workshop on Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields, October 2006

This five days scientific Workshop will be held in Crete island on 16-20 October 2006 and is  intended to cover all areas of  EMF from basic research, experimental results, modelling and simulation, Policy, Safety and Standardization and much more.

This workshop offer a unique  opportunity to bring together  all involved parties like Researchers,  Engineers,  Professors  and  Students,  Public  authorities,  Ecologists, Consultants,  Public  health  Workers  and  Developers  from  academic  fields  and industries,  offering  to  this multidisciplinary audience the ideal forum to exchange ideas, share research results, aim at new targets etc.

The  first Workshop on  EMFs (Millennium), held in Crete in 2000, was a significant success  since  it  hosted  more  than hundred scientists from 25 countries around the world. It was the first time that such an International Workshop on EMFs took place in Greece.

The second Workshop on EMFs (2002), took place in Rhodes island. In this meeting, the   number  of  participants  was  considerably   increased  and  the   international character  of  the  meeting  was  also  fulfilled  since we  hosted  participants from 43 countries.

The  third  Workshop  on  EMFs  (2004)  took   place  in  Kos  island,  known  as  the birthplace  of  Hippocrates.  In  this  meeting, more  than  250  scientific papers were presented representing scientists from 44 countries.

The  4th  International  Workshop on  EMFs ( 16-20 October 2006 )  is  organized in such a way, so as to provide the scientific and social environment for participation of scientists from all over the world.

It  is expected that the  4th Workshop will offer the opportunity to the participants to exchange  scientific  achievements,  knowledge  and  information, as well as to enjoy their stay in one of the best hotels in Crete,  savor the world's exquisite  Cretan diet, visit the famous archaeological sites and experience the authentic Cretan hospitality.
